2015 River Trip Schedule
Now Available for reservations!
Welcome to Canyon Ministries
The Grand Canyon is one of the most amazing features on the face of the planet, a classic example of erosion unequaled anywhere on earth. Carved through sedimentary layers of limestone, sandstone, and shale, and into the bedrock of schist and granite, this great chasm stretches 277 miles through the Colorado Plateau. It descends over a mile into the earth and extends as much as 18 miles in width. The canyon holds within its walls mountains that are taller than anything east of the Mississippi River.
Since 1995, Canyon Ministries has been rafting through this gigantic remnant of the Biblical Flood, showing people how what we read in the Bible is seen between the walls of the Grand Canyon. Our rafting trips are from 4 to 9 days in length, and suitable for kids from 8 to 88. See our river trip schedule for trips available in 2014.
Tours of the South Rim now available!
Operating under the name A Different View Tours, Canyon Ministries provides land-based rim tours of the Grand Canyon along its South Rim. We find many Christians simply do not want to go to the rim and hear the evolutionary explanation of the canyon’s formation. A tour with Canyon Ministries will provide you with a succinct presentation on the geology of the canyon and the testimony it provides for a global flood and a young earth. Go to Rim Tours for more information and to register.
Experience North America’s biggest whitewater!
Join a Christ-centered motorized rafting trip through a canyon with walls over a mile high. This once-in-a-lifetime experience will explore one of His grandest creations while spending time each day in God’s Word and singing praises to the Lord. Share the enjoyment of this natural wonder of the world with fellow believers. Learn how the effects of Noah’s Flood, not millions of years of erosion, carved the Grand Canyon.
Canyon Ministries has the privilege of running tours for Answers in Genesis, one of the largest creation-based ministries in the world. To learn more about our ministry, also please see About Canyon Ministries.
Canyon Ministries also has a non-profit arm which operates a scholarship program for youth, pastors, seminary professors and Christian leaders. As funds are available, scholarships are provided allowing these individuals to see the wonders of the Grand Canyon for themselves and see that it truly does support what we read in God’s Word. If you would like to find out more about the program, click on scholarship information.

New Yellowstone and Grand Teton Guide Book Available!
The True North Series: Your Guide to Yellowstone and Grand Teton National Parks is the third in a series of guide book on our national parks. Result of the frequent requests we have had over the years for material presenting a creationist perspective for those who visit our National Parks. Tom Vail teams with co-authors Mike Oard, John Hergenrather, and Dennis Bokovoy to present one-of-a-kind guidebooks to The Grand Canyon, Zion & Bryce, and now Yellowstone & Grand Teton National Parks. They all explain the parks from a creationist perspective while also presenting well-established information on their formation, climate, fossils, history, and ecology. Each book features a three-page foldout with panoramic photos for each of the major overlooks within the parks.
For more information see the book information page.
Canyon Ministries is dedicated to providing evidence that upholds and supports the Word of God. Your donation will enable us to continue the ministry and share the wonders of the Grand Canyon and at the same time equip you and your family with the truth of God’s word.
